I've returned from an amazing 3 weeks in the big apple just in time to spin records for a VERY IMPORTANT CAUSE and i'm glad.
Tomorrow night esteemed journalist and broadcaster (and onetime girl crush of mine... i'm no lez but she's grrrrrreat!) Miranda Sawyer is hosting a charity bash at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (the ICA to you and me).
The charity in question is Action Aid, a great organisation that fights the good fight for equal rights and to end discrimination against women across the globe. Very important i'm sure you'll agree because as we all know...
Apart from my good self playing an all-girl set >>> BIG TUNES from all the great girls you love (think vanity 6, esg, missy elliot, yo majesty, mary j blige, britney, kate bush, beyonce, donna summer, blondie, nancy nova, ms dynamite, early madonna... might even throw in some tina, in fact i definitely will!) the line up is MASSIVE.
